Property Summary
A charming detached 3-bedroom stone cottage, with landscaped, terraced gardens, paddock, woodland, circa 1.8 acres (STM). The cottage is set in an elevated position offering fantastic views towards Clydach Gorge and the Brecon Beacons. Believed to have been built in the 1770s and extended early in the 1880s, at one time the cottage may have been two dwellings. The cottage has been improved by the current owner, whilst still offering further scope for updating. The ground floor briefly comprises;- entrance porch leading to an entrance hall with useful storage cupboard. The cosy sitting room has a painted wood ceiling and stone fireplace housing a Hunter multi-fuel burning stove, second reception room/snug with stone fireplace, uPVC conservatory at the rear with electric heating and access to the cellar. The stairs from the entrance hall lead to a half-landing with door to the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen has a comprehensive range of wall and base cupboards, plenty of worktop space and large enough to entertain guests or be the hub for a family. The kitchen has uPVC windows and barn style split door.
To the first floor, accessed from the staircase located in the sitting room, are two double bedrooms. A single bedroom with built-in wardrobe could be used as a nursery or dressing room, as a door links it to the master bedroom. A further single bedroom, with built-in wardrobe, works well either as a nursery, as a door links it to the master bedroom, or for guests as it has a separate access to the half-landing, where the bathroom is located. The bathroom comprises bath, separate shower, low-level W.C., basin and Velux window.
